MD's Room: Stage 1

Little Michael's room is coming along nicely. Thanks to his wonderfully-generous great grandma Betty, he now has an awesome changing table that will match his soon-to-be-here crib, a beautiful gift from his Mimi and Papa Icenhour. It's pretty obvious in the pics where the crib is going to go. All the other furniture is in its place and ready to be used...just a bunch of empty drawers right now!

The beautiful, wooden rocking chair is a temporary placeholder for daddy's glider that MD's grandma Donna bought him :) That's on order as well so we're hoping it will make it by his big entrance. The rocking chair will definitely find its place in the house, though, since it's as old (or even older) than me...a baby gift for me from my grandpa Joe.

Then, of course, there's Mila. She has to be in every piece of action around our house so she refused to be left out of all of the nursery pics. I just can't resist that pooch...

Local Movie Star, Right Here in Harrisburg!

For the past couple of weeks Donnie has been shooting his major motion picture debut! He's been filming his very own movie with none other than George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, John Krasinski (that cute, funny guy from The Office) and that guy who played Milton in Office Space.

See, they're filming a movie right here in Charlotte called Leatherheads. It's a romantic comedy (which means that I'll actually go see it!) set in 1925 about a football team. I know, romance and football usually don't go well together but seems that Hollywood can pull anything off nowadays.

So, I've included 2 pics from the "set". The first is Donnie's posse and the 2nd is just a cool shot of Bizarro Clooney, an extra that looks like George (Donnie and George Clooney are on a first-name basis now).

* Please note that while Donnie is in the middle of filming he won't have any time for autographs, pictures and such. But, when he is done you can contact his PR department to set up an interview.

A Little Late...

So, here I am at 6.5 months (26 weeks). I had my 27-week checkup this past Monday and all is still well! I had to drink some fun, fruity juice so they could test me for gestational diabetes. Everyone kept telling me that it would taste like Hawaiian Punch but I had my doubts. Especially since the last experience I had with medicinal liquids left me cringing at any thought of cherry-flavored, well, anything! But, I was pleasantly surprised. It really did taste like a watered-down Hawaiian Punch. Thanks, Tina, for the fruit punch tip...

Oh, I've not heard anything about my diabetes test results but my nurse pretty much told me that no news is good news. So, I'm taking this as good news.

Happy Easter!

Well, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't wear an adorable preggers dress that Erin lent me since it was so freakishly cold on Easter but I pulled it off with the most comfortable skirt ever! It's actually a normal person's skirt from Target that I've had for a while. I have a feeling I'll be wearing that a lot.

Anyway, we had a very nice Easter with both sets of grandparents so we had to commemorate the day with pictures, of course. Oh, and Donnie wanted to show off his belly again. But this is proof that it doesn't always look like that. He swears.
