The Pumpkin Patch

A couple weekends back we took Michael Dean to his first pumpkin patch. It was so weird picking out pumpkins in 80° weather but I really wanted MD to experience the joys of pumpkin-choosing. Not so much pumpkin-carving, though. That's next year.

Here's a few pics of some special MD time with mom & dad. He's such a love bug and we just cherish those times. Gosh, sometimes I feel like I just can't love him anymore. Then I do.

Happy 3 Month BD, MD!

This past Sunday, 10.7.07, was Michael Dean's 3-month birthday. I forgot to take pics on the 7th so here's some quickies I took on the 8th.

He's doing just wonderful. He's still sleeping about 10 hours a night but he's started waking up a little earlier the past few days so that's thrown an extra challenge in mommy's work day as he's up just before she leaves. But, we're figuring it out!

Last we stepped on the scale, he weighed around 16lbs! He's a chunker. Still likes his food. In fact, I don't think his 4-month birthday is going to come soon enough so he can start loading up with yummy rice cereal. I'm in no rush...but I think he is :)

Sunday Afternoon...

OK, so this wasn't this past Sunday but I'm just now getting around to downloading ALL my pics from my camera. I took this pic about a month and a half ago. This was back when MD would snooze in his bouncy seat a lot...not anymore!

I Miss My MD

OK, so I'm sitting at work (sorry boss!) scrolling through the pictures that mom has sent me while watching my little guy and I miss him, so I'll share a few. I know it's good for both of us to have time away but, man, I miss those smiles in person. And, I'm sure he misses me. I think. I hope.

A couple things...

~ Michael Dean is smiling so much now. He's become so responsive that it's quite easy to get a smile out of him. Even if he's crying. I'll give him a couple funny faces and he can't decide whether to cry or smile. We've gotten a few chuckles out of him but he doesn't realize he does it so they just kinda slip out, completely unnoticed by him.

~ I think he's going to suffer, like his mommy, with allergies. The past 3 nights he's coughed throughout the night and has had a gurgly nose and red, watery eyes. Poor guy. He's too little for meds so we've started tilting his crib mattress and using a cool mist humidifier. I almost got the Penguin humidifier but I figured that by the time he's 12 and still needs a humidifier he might not like the blue penguin lighting up his room. Not cool.

Well, I could go on...but you've all got work to do too, right? Here's some pics to feast on today.
