Here Comes Mila & a Baby Carriage

My good friend, Tina, told me of a website that lists many ways to get your first baby (a.k.a. Mila) used to the arrival of your upcoming, second baby. Well, an excerpt from this article made me grin...of course at trying to picture Donnie and me trying to do this!

The article says to "Use a baby doll to help your pet get used to the real thing. Carry around a swaddled baby doll, take the doll in the stroller when you walk your dog, and use the doll to get your pet used to routine baby activities, such as bathing and diaper changing."

OK, so I'm realy going to strap up a baby doll into a stroller and walk around my neighborhood with Mila. Can't you just picture it? You think I'd be embarrassed. Think of poor Mila when she runs into one of her little Shih Tzu neighbors and they see her mommy pushing a fake baby in a stroller!

I had to laugh...

~ Oh, by the way, we had our 16 week check-up today and everything is A-OK. I've even lost a couple of pounds...

My New Baby Bump

Well, here it is. The first preggo pic. I've not popped too much yet but just enough that none of my regular pants fit anymore. I've got 2 pairs of dress pants I alternate between and a size 15 pair of jeans (juniors, people!) that my mom bought for me since she couldn't bare to see me squeeze into my size 11 jeans anymore.

Anyway, my brother has requested I take frequent photos of my growing tummy and since he's in Colorado and too scared to fly I'll be posting them here! Enjoy...

Oh, and Donnie wanted to get in on the action so I'll be posting his progress as well. (BTW, he's exaggerating a lot here...he really doesn't look 9 months pregnant!)

I've Caved!

OK, seems like everyone these days is a "blogger". A "blog" used to seem too hip for me. I felt old school. Like I just wanted to stick to my emails and picture attachments. Well, after reading the wonderfully-detailed entries of my good buddy, Melanie's, blog I figured I'd better go ahead and get one of these things started since about 6 months from now I'll have loads of baby pics to share and not enough time to email!

So, check back often. I'll do my best to just post a bunch of pics and not worry with all the wordy fluff. Pictures speak a 1000 words anyway, right?
