A Sweet Story

This morning when I dropped MD off at daycare (which has gotten way better, by the way!), one of his teachers told me that yesterday, on the playground, she felt a little tug at her leg. She looked down and there was Michael Dean standing there with a little, green clover to give to her. She thought it was very sweet of him.

See, the boy loves him some flowers. He loves to pick them, smell them, then give them away. It's pretty darn cute.

41 Cents

Today, on my lunch break, I went to CVS and got all of this for, yep, $0.41! All of these products were on sale AND had extra bucks that came with them AND I had coupons. So, I spent $8.90, but got $8.49 back in extra bucks. For those of you not up with the CVS lingo, you're way cooler than me. But, you also don't know that extra bucks are basically free money you can spend only at CVS. Every week they have these deals where if you buy certain products you get extra bucks back - you know, so they can suck you back into their store to buy more stuff. But, hey, you can't beat (almost) free, right...

Michael Dean es famoso en América Latina

I posted, recently, about MD doing a small photo shoot for Britax car seats. In case you forgot, scroll down or click here. Well, his sweet little face made it all the way to (somewhere in) Latin America! Mundo Bebe, to be exact. (I found their website, but my high school Spanish is a bit rusty, so I couldn't figure out where exactly they were. Lo siento, Senor Sacco.)

Here's the proof. (Click each one for a bigger photo)

Look real close at just above the 30% off sign, on the right...

...And, there he is!

MD's 2nd Easter Egg Hunt

This past Saturday our church hosted their 9th annual Easter egg hunt / MD's 2nd annual Easter egg hunt. Last year was pretty uneventful. Just a few eggs in the mouth. No candy. This year - whew! What a difference a year makes.

And on a pretty cool side note - Donnie planned this event for our church! He did a really great job and even got some recognition in Concord's Sunday Independent Tribune. Good job, hun. Everyone had a really great time!

MD and his girlfriend, Maggie, on the "safe" bouncy toy

About as close as he was going to get to the Easter bunny

Our really great friends, the Harrells with their kids (4 of them), mom, niece and nephew (look, a woman taller than me!)

MD was way more excited to pick up an egg and throw it, than to stash it for the candy inside

He did like putting his eggs in his bucket, though

Ewww!

(Part of) Our family!

Part of our day was spent on the playground, while other age group egg hunts were going on. I'm not sure which was more fun for MD - throwing eggs or swingy, swingin!

Trying to climb

All by himself! (OK, not really. Nana was there to spot.)

Swing time with mom, and some juice
